Dual Stereos?
« on: March 11, 2007, 11:09:43 PM »
Hey guys, looking to get a stereo for the mako this spring but have no idea wat to get it. So many brands and i dont wish to by junk. My father bought a $300 Jensen for his robalo and found this year it doesnt work and was told it was junk.  Not looking to spend more then say $150. Looking over on overtons theres a couple of package deals that seem resonable but dont know which names are good or bad. Jensen in my eyes is junk, but how about dual? Theres a nice package with 4 speakers and the reciever for liek $150 or the reciever and 2 speakers for $120.

What you all say?

After doing some looking around, I bought a JBL for my boat with a wired remote.  The stereo itself was $150 but I got an enclosure for it for another $50 to keep it more waterproof and the wired remote was $70.  It has been working great for the past season.

I'm  now looking for a new waterproof stereo for another boat.  Check EBay as they have some really good prices compared to anything else.

I'm looking at a PolyPlanar MD 60 and a CLarion CMD4 or a CMD5.  I need waterproof above all.

No stereo will last long on a boat. use a slide in mount and they will last much longer
