E-10 & MSB
« on: June 11, 2008, 12:48:08 PM »
At another site warning about the perils of E-10 they said regular 87 octane with MTB, or MTE, or MSG, should not be mixed! Herein Maine we have escaped E-10 so far. But going to the Cape this summer that is all they have E-10. I was planning to top off here with the good stuff and get some down there if needed. My tank is 120 and most fishing there is inshore. I did it before without any problems. Except when I got home and the boat sat a week when we went out she was missing and sputtering to beat the band. I gave her a big shot of regular 87 again and have been smooth running since. Any thoughts? Thanks, Gary
Maine25XF. Late to the gate we love our boat. Others are humbled by the Sally-Carol. We treat her like family, only better! If you have any tips, insights, or positions on the health benefits of two-stroke exhaust,  please opine and inform. Gary

..

And another...

Use StaBil or SeaFoam to keep the 10% EtOH from making your fuel wet.
