1982 200 CCP

I have a rotten transom in a new project 200 CCP just wanted to know if besides the resin sawdust mix holding the deck down to the stringers would there be a problem with popping the insert and what side of the transom does the insert meet the hull

On my 88 CCP the insert joined and overlapped the outer skin under the stainless trim of the motor well cutout.

Factory assembly pictures show the outside, at least they were in the old days.

Thanks Jim, I was leaning more to the outside of the transom due to some stress cracks starting by the motor
