Hello all
New Guy here who just found your site...it is great looking forward to being active on it.
Currently have a 1979 CCP HID#ASPP0306N79C Plate is pretty ate up but I think that is it. Over the 12 or so years I have owned her I had installed a T top when I first bought her which I removed last year, it was getting to be in poor condition and was held up by 2 2.5" pipes coming up through the center console. The boat came with the front storage box which I removed for more fishing room. I replaced the teak Gunnel boards and rear hatches with Starboard. Added a top plate on the center console out of Starboard as well to cover up the T top holes. Replaced the fuel tank after it corroded throuh from the bottom and rebult the tank well cover because it had gotten soft over time. I raised the transom with a Aluminium braket and installed a longer shaft on the 200 Mercury to keep water from slapping on the motor. I do have a soft spot in deck in front of the console that will need attention. I moved the console as far forward as I could for more rear room. The future holds more Starboard on the front storage areas, some console cleanup...maybe a new dash out of Starboard. I would like to install a leaning post and a new T top at some point. I would like to repower, currently running a 1992 200HP carbed Merc with a powerhead replacement in 99. The new powerhead has relatively low hours...It did not hit the water for 2 of those years and saw very little use another(this was due to a health issue and then a bad fuel tank) Currently in the process of relocating to SW florida and had considered getting somthing newer but think i will most likely keep this old gal. I have had this boat as far as 35 mile offshore but don't go much further then the inshore artifcial reefs and back bays now. I bought the boat here in Tuckerton NJ from the orginal owner' son and just found out my Mercury Mech worked at the Marina were he bought it and remembers the boat. I've always loved the way AQUASPORTS looked...they look like a boat should look like. I will try to get some pictures when the weather allows me to take the tarp off.

Trying to get to Pine Island. My friend has his skiff at Sheltered Cove... I was going to be there this afternoon to help pull his duckboats. I live just off 539 out by the Parkway.

Four more CCPs have been added since the first list on 1/18/09 to bring the total to 11.
The 2/3/09 updated list:
(* New additions since last list.)
kaptainkoz - 1978 - 200 CCP - ASPP0160M78F
*bdstr - 1978 - 200 CCP - (none listed)
*weakfish - 1979 - 200 CCP - ASPP0306N79C
allen456 - 1979 - 200 CCP - ASPP0226M79A
GoneFission - 1980 - 22-2 CCP - ASPA0345M80I
jdupree - 1981 - 200 CCP - ASPP0590M81D
*Kamikaze - 1982 - 246 CCP - (none listed)
Capt. Bob - 1984 - 222 CCP - ASPA0492M84E
*Wayne's World - 1985 - 200 CCP - ASPP1116H485
Hardwater - 1986 - 222 CCP - ASPA05951586
DOCREED - 1989 - 250 CCP - (none listed)
The quirk with Hull IDs continues. All of the 200 CCPs have HIDs with a manufacturers code of ASPP through 1985 (Wayne's World) while the earliest 22-2 (Gone Fission) has the ASPA code. A range of eleven model years are covered in the listings above, with a represetative (or 2) from each of the years except '83, '87 and '88.
Model breakout:
200 CCP: 6
22-2/222: 3
246 CCP: 1
250 CCP: 1
(There are definitely more out there - c'mon, post 'em up!)
The hulls listed so far show the earliest CCPs as built in 1978 (kaptainkoz & bdstr - both of them the 200) with the latest built in 1989 (DOCREED's 250). (kaptainkoz's is listed as the earliest pending a HID from bdstr.) If anyone can confirm production before 1978 or after 1989 - let us know. Looking through the brochures available here, no CCPs show up in the 1976 brochure - no surprise. The 1980 brochure lists the 200, 222 and 246. Did all of these models begin production in 1978, or did production start with the 200 with the 222 and 246 hulls phased in over the 1979 and 1980 model years?
The lone 246 CCP (Kamikaze) has a hull ID showing it as a 1984 model. It's interesting that the 1984 brochure shows the 200, 222 and
250
models - no 246. The letter to dealers published along with the 1984 brochure carries a date of November 11, 1984 - likely indicating new models for the 1985 production year. The 1986-1987 brochure shows production of only the 222 and 250 CCPs.
To post, add information on year, model/length, Hull ID number, power and any other related or historical information specific to your boat or the model line in general. If possible, post photos to show the model - as well as photos of modifications. If you can't post a photo right away - edit one or a few in later.
Comments, observations and information about specific boats and CCPs in general are welcome and encouraged, but try to steer other sidebar stuff to new threads, existing threads or PMs in order to keep this one on track.
Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to post information on their CCP to this thread. The point is to collect as much information as possible on the CCPs in a single location for both current and potential owners. Outside of Classic Aquasport, there's very little information anywhere - internet or otherwise - on these great hulls. Keep 'em coming!

HIN - the first 3 letters are the manufacturer code - ASP - I think the next letter is for the model - P for 20 foot CCP, and A for 22 foot CCP. The next letters are hull serial numbers, and the final 3 are for year and month produced.
Only the first 3 letters indicate the manufacturer - all are ASP. Under Genmar, Aquasport switched to OUA in 1988, AQA in 1990.
Hope this helps - see ya on the water!

And just so you know, the 22-2CCP became the 222CCP with the 1981 model year. 1981 also added a new console layout, "an all-new deluxe command console" as the ads said... Before 1981, the instrument layout looked kinda like mine (of course I've added a few things):

GoneFission, I really like your boat. How much work is it to keep that wood nice looking like yours ? In the summer when I'm not boating my boat sits on trailer under a canopy, in the winter it sits in a shelter. I would really like some wood on my boat, but wouldn't want to maintain that wood every summer
