SWEEEEEEEET!  Man does she look nice.  How do you like the Etec?  Is it as quite as Evinrude claims?

Yes it is as quite. So far I dont have any complaints. Its awesome on fuel and oil and it moves my boat good out of the hole and about 40 on top end. :D

RC,  Great rebuild.  I have a '72 170 and have had great fun w/ her this summer in NJ and DE.  Are you going to re-install your railing?  I need to repaint...probably not this winter but next (am in the middle of a rebuild on the house)  The designer got it right.  The 170 is a great fishing platform for inshore and nearshore waters.  Best Fishes!
I am interested in restoring my \"new\" `72 Aquasport 170

I like the boat better without the rails. It makes it a little easier to cast for bait. I dont have any kids yet so I am fine without them for now.
