Is it worth it?
« on: December 06, 2023, 10:19:11 AM »
I have a 1984 20’ CCP  that is in need of a repower.  I have been agonizing over the decision to put $25k on the back of this boat.  The boat is clean and does have a soft spot adjacent to the console that will need to be repaired.   I have the deck up to pull the original tank out and replace with new I’m just not sure how she’ll float with a new four stroke and the wash deck scuppers.   The transom does not have stress cracks and doesn’t appear wet or sound soft however it wasn’t designed in 1984 for a 2023 modern four stroke?  Someone has to have the experience of a new 200 on the back of one of these boats.

I think Michael can help you with that decision - here is what he did with his 200CCP
