Minn kota talons?

anybody have or heard good or bad about the minn kota talons? im thinking about getting one, a friend of mine is selling a brand new one for $850. lookiing for all your guys opinions! thanks!

I have had both a powerpole and a talon and prefer the powerpole handsdown. The talon just has way too many moving parts that break and does not have the holding power of the powerpole. The talon is also always in the way while the powerpole when down can be fished around

Nice thing about the talon is its an self contained unit, don't have to use up space in your boat for a pump. The other nice thing is you never get fiberglass on you from bumping into it
