Thanks all for the nice comments, what a feeling it is to complete something like this. Countless hours, MONEY, and enough cuss words to make a sailor cringe, it was worth it. Also, the boat is pretty sea worthy, got caught in a storm today 5 miles out, 5ft chop, raining, windy and stuffing waves over the bow. Scary but we survived! Anyhow, took some more pics of the boat...

It sure is!  When I did mine there were many times I thought that I would never finish, but when all was said and done it feels great when you get a compliment on the boat.

Everyone,
If you haven't read this entire thread, I urge you to. It's a hell of a ride.

Chris started this rebuild almost two years ago and it had a somewhat rocky start. :roll:

This boat has come a very long way since then and there is a lot to learn from his experiences. This is but one of many rebuild threads and if you are thinking about taking on a task such as this, they can provide a wealth of information obtained by the literal blood, sweat, tears and money invested by our members.

Congrats Chris and thanks for the ride. Time to enjoy :thumright:

Chris,

Per CB's thinking (and thanks Bob for your memory, thoughts, and suggestions)  just read the whole thread start to finish. I had forgotten how it all began...pressure treated crap, jacklegs, etc. and the whole nine yards.

And now...what a terrific, beautiful boat. Made by you, and a quality job.

And also noticed the excellent input/advice that you were given. You did it, but it was a real team effort...very cool. And a great archive/reference for future rebuilders. The entire CA family should be happy and proud.

So, as Bob said...congratulations, enjoy...and  go catching  :thumright:
