1979 170
« on: March 13, 2022, 05:31:59 PM »
Just got another 170, bought it pretty much just for the trailer (I am borrowing my dads because he lives on the water and doesn't take his out of the water much), and bimini top to use on my 86' 170.

Wanted peoples opinion on here on what to do with it/ how much work it would take to make it sea worthy. I don't feel any soft spots in the floor but the transom looks iffy. And what are those boxes attached to the transom?

Go to those pics in ur gallery, click on my photos then click on one of ur photos, and then on right side page will be weblink for “linked image”.  Copy that link and paste it into a reply box here.  Repeat for as many photos you want to post here.

Good lookin hull, definitly a great project. Transom livewells are super rad, and are a factory option. Your's look a bit larger than factory but the benifit of not needing trimtabs is really nice.

Okay thats interesting was that an option from the factory?
