Anyone use Seacast for their FF Transom?

(1/1)

JaeVeeSport:
I've got a 222 FF and I have to do the transom> With the splash wells the way they are, and I don't really want to remove the outside layer of glass, I am thinking of doing a seacast or Arjay transom pour. I need to figure out the cost and that means I need to know how much of the pourable transom someone actually used.

If anyone has done a 222 transom please tell me how much you used.

RickK:
First you need to get all the wood coring out - everywhere in between the outer skin and the liner. As you look at the FF transom, you need to cut the cap and storage lockers back to gain access to the transom along the sides of the transom.
Once you get it all out (a chainsaw works well), now you need to hunt down any leaks in the the liner so the arjay or seacast doesn't pour through the leak. For sure the ends of the transom are not sealed from the bilge by the liner.
We have a few members that have poured their transom and plenty of questions have been asked about it.
