Propping a 22 Flatback with Suzuki 200 hp-help please
« on: March 03, 2020, 11:44:20 AM »
Any body have a 22 Flatback with a 4 cylinder four stroke Suzuki?
Need some guidance on the prop.

I read the weight of the hull was 1800.  Does that sound right?  Seems light.

I do have a tower on mine after a complete rebuild.

Those engines twist pretty hard, over 6000 rpm, since there isn't anyone here with your exact set up that I know of, I'm thinking a 20 pitch should get you decent numbers but of course it depends on you typical load and time of year. Engines loss efficiency as it gets more humid and warmer.
