Bimini/HT for 1983 20' Walkaround
« on: September 23, 2006, 10:26:40 PM »
Hello,
I am looking for a bimini top, or cavas hard top that fits a 1983 Aquasport W/A. Does anyone know who made the factory canvas for Aquasport in the 80's?  I think the mfg was Suncatcher or somthing that began with sun.
Please e-mail me at elg275@sbcglobal.net
Thanks, Ed

Maybe you're thinking of the material - Sunbrella is probably the most commonly used material that manufacturers use.

Aquasport did not use a custom bimini - they were simply Taylor-Made or some other manufactuer.  You can measure your boat and order the size, materials, and color you want from Overtons, ShipStore, etc.

Taylor-Made also has a new item - the Bimi-Tee Top.  Like the name says, it's kind of a cross between a full T-Top and a Bimini, and is removable.  It's priced about the same as a bimini.  You can check it out at:

Good luck!
