Remember how I said plans for this boat have changed? It's now going to live life as strictly an inshore boat, so I don't feel the need for a 115 or 150.
For offshore duty:
It's an '88 Steigercraft Chesapeake 23. Needs floors and a tank but in all it's in good shape. This one will get big HP for bombing around and getting offshore. Trying to hit the gas and finish the sport so I can get this one in the shop before snow flies.

Did you pick up the Steiger a couple months ago? I'm pretty sure I saw it for sale and messaged the guy about that one and didn't get there in time! Looking forward to seeing that one come together.

Yep, picked it up from a guy in Essex MA. I’m pretty stoked to have scooped it up. Guy had hundreds of messages in a day.

Yes, one of those messages was definitely mine haha. Those are awesome boats... on my list for my next rebuild, if I can find a 23 or 25 Chesapeake. Did you do ok on the stripers this season?

My daughter was born June 28th, so I haven't fished much of this season.
The first half the season was decent, a little bit of a slow start. I caught my first bass on May 5th, but it wasn't until June that the bite really came on. The pogie bite around here was fair, I got a few slot sized fish and one 40inch the weekend before my daughter came.

Well unlike so many other build threads, the radio silence here has been a good thing!!!!
Boat is "done"! Yeah right, they're never done.
Boat is now well equipped for fishing and on the meat every week. Added a leaning post, removable 32gal livewell, Raymarine Element 7 MFD, vhf with GPS and DSC, and more I'm sure I'm forgetting. I swapped the 70 for a 130, boat now does 37kts flat out which is scary fast for this hull. That's with a 19p prop, could easily spin a 21p or 23p.
The fishing up here has been lights out. We've even hooked bluefin tuna inshore, though have yet to land one. Photo dump incoming.

Do you have any pictures of how you supported you fuel tank from underneath?

I'm not sure (without looking up your rebuild) if you have a coffin. This is how I supported my new poly tank. I split 3" PVC pipe and scribed them to have a tilt toward the aft.
