Time for a new fuel tank in my 1990 222 CCP

I will post some pics later. I am going to have to do the deed. Replace the fuel tank in my CCP. The good news is the deck plate and the console and t top came off relatively easily. Going to remove the tank tomorrow so I can measure it to order the new one from Alloy in NY. It has an 85 gallon tank in it now, but I would like to go to 100gal. After posting this question a while back it seemed like I was going to have to go back with original due to lack of room in the coffin. However that is not the case. I have about another 12inches of space at the rear of the coffin. That should enable me just to extend the new fuel tank while remaining the same shape to gain the extra 15gallons. I'm hoping the tank will be under a grand. Guess I will see on Monday.

Update! I did add pictures to the gallery but cant figure out how to transfer them to this post. I ordered the new tank from Alloy in NY. I will have it in about 2.5 weeks. It was $800 plus shipping. I was able to add length to gain more gallons. But could not get to 100. I was able to get to 95gal which is close enough for me. I wanted to leave a little extra room in the coffin. That give me 3in on both ends.

Good deal Adam   I am sure this will be useful to other CCP owners who want a little more fuel capacity.  Glad you are coming along on the girl

Thanks for posting my pics. I got the new motor all rigged today. I installed the new binnacle shifter, and cables. I ran the new engine wiring harness, also installed new fuel lies and primer ball. Had to have new battery cables made though. The new motor connects on the opposite side so that made the original ones 3 feet too short!! So about 200$ later I have new ones made. Picking them up tomorrow. Then first test start on the boat. I have had it running on the stand when I bought it, but never on the boat.

Yeah, heavy cables aren't cheap.
