Hi all...a few days ago everything worked fine and now there is nothing when I turn the key. No sound at all, no starter, nothing. I checked all the fuses and battery terminals and can't find anything. The only think I did over the last few days is remove my old VHF radio which wasn't working anymore. The batteries are full and the fish finders and GPS plotter all work. The engine tilt works. I just can't start it.
Any ideas?

Neutral safety switch in control box, shift the engine to forward gear then back to neutral and see if it turns over. If it does, the neutral safety switch is bad or needs adjusting.

Thanks...will give it a try

Just thought I would confirm that it was a faulty neutral switch...we replaced it and it all works good now. After I received your post I called the mechanic and told him to check the neutral switch...probably saved me a few hours of labor. Thanks again!!

Glad it worked out - frankly that should have been one of the first things the mechanic checked.
One time I just launched my 230 and I tried to start it and got the same thing. Ended up the helm chair had swung around and barely, but enough, moved the shifter out of neutral. :oops2: That was NOT the first thing I checked unfortunately. It will be next time.

Great tip, thanks. Wish I'd read this thread 2 weeks ago, might have saved a few hours of increasing frustration levels 👍
