Title: Sticker removal
Post by: amb1976 on October 06, 2016, 11:57:54 PM
Looking for advice on how to cleanly remove the large Aqua Sport "marlin logo"on my 175 Osprey. This is the logo that sits at water line. The logo is peeling and is missing small sections. Chemicals, etc? Thanks again to the group for sharing your experiences.

Hi. I use my wifes hair dryer and a plastic razor blade from big box stores. Great for taking off old vinyl.

I've remove a bunch of vinyl over the years. The best method by far is the vinyl graphics eraser. Heat guns and scrapers... even plastic risk damaging the gel. As you can see in the link to my video if it won't hurt paint it's safe for gel coat.

dont use heat , use the eraser method on a drill works great you can see how much i removed off my boat. I only used one of the erasers i was really surprised how long it lasted. Once your all done removing the stickers use some orange goo gone to get any remaining adhesive off.
