model/year hull??

Can't say I've heard of fuel pu hose becoming clogged...or broke.  It's a rubber hose.  It can deteriorate over a long time, even longer if below deck.  Fuel hose pu is normally secured to 90° brass elbow with hose clamps.  If you can access the nut why not just remove clamps/hose and replace?

It is a 1982 170 osprey with a below deck tank.I have pulled the console and floor up already to get at the tank.It has been replaced with a 25 gal. moeller plasctic tank and I got the nut off the pu tube but I can't get it to unscrew from the tank

Some Moeller tanks have a pick up that rotates and locks in position.  If that’s the case with yours, I was told by Moeller that you can’t unscrew the pickup.  I did discover that if you pull-up on the fitting, the tube along with the o rings that seal it pulls right out.  I don’t know if it damages the fitting or not, but if it does, at least you know you can get a PE tank which will cost less than custom alum.
