For those with center console versions - any length really:
I am planning to remove the original bow rail from my '73 22-2.
1. I realize it's not as safe, when standing on the raised deck up forward. There's not much to hold onto without the rails.
2. I think it looks much better without it. More contemporary.
3. I 'could' add a very low s/s rail along the gunnel in the same location.
If I leave it 'bare', then obviously I will need to fill/sand the screw holes. Eventually I'll be painting the entire boat anyway.
If you've also removed yours, what is your experience for yourself, and guests? Do you miss the rails?
