Question: Bow Mount Trolling Motor on a 222 FFV ????
« on: January 27, 2011, 01:13:52 PM »
I'm looking into getting a trolling motor for this boat. I like staying in position w/o using anchors while targeting that monster ling.

Question is, I'm not sure on the length shaft I need.

I'm trying to pull the trigger online right now and don't know the dimension from deck to water line on my boat.

Anyone have this handy?

Are the shafts replaceable on the Rip Tides?

I found a bow mount RT80B/H for $300 shipped. It has the 52" shaft. I believe there is a 62" one as well.

That a good deal? It's the best I have seen for an 80lb salty.

I talked to Gone fishing about that not long ago and he told me 60 inch for his 222ccp

Hope this helps,

If you don't buy the 62 in, let me know the info and I will.
