Where's Your Battery Switch?
« on: September 21, 2010, 02:38:20 PM »
I'm looking to move my batteries back to there original spot in the rear on my 245 98' TM.
Were do most guys place there battery switches.I'm looking for a place out of the weather if possible and somewhere that I don't have to bend down to far, knees are shot.I also will be placing a single switch under or on the center console for a deep cycle battery for my electronics.Pics would be helpful.

Thanks

Mark,
You remember where the original position of your batt switch was, on the transom wall starboard.  Sounds like a PITA to get to with knees like you describe...

So...if you don't use that 2-tray "tackle center", how about removing that, installing a piece of 1/2" starboard in it's place, and installing a Blue Seas or BEP "mini" switch in the face of the starboard?  Open the door, and there it is...

Just a thought...

On my Osprey, when I moved the batts to the console, I mounted the new dual battery switch inside the glove compartment on the starboard side, with the Deltec battery charger also in there.  Works great, easy to see and change batts without leaving the helm area.  I will get some pics up, don't have any right now.
