What the difference with the Yamaha Inshore & the stock Yamaha outboards?

As far as I know they just have the shortest available shaft length some dealers will throw a 4 blade prop on there too for jumping out of the hole quicker, I don't think they mess with the foot ratio though, but I'm not sure about that

Are the "Inshore" models what Yam would be calling their "Sport" models?  20" shaft?

Probably just 20" shaft and the decals and nothing more.

i remember seeing a 115hp yammy inshore ad with a low water pickup and like a 17 inch shaft with a wider anti cavitation plate... ill see if i can dig it up...

Aaron, how old is that pic?  I can't find any reference to Yam "Inshores" from Yam...

i dug through google for 20 somthin pages, couldnt find it, then tried spelling errors, and came up first page... motor was listed as 1999... i remember seeing one back in '99 or '00 i think it was on a hews or maveric flats boat... i think they where only made for 2 years...

anyone remember another rare yamaha? the 150  Vmax dual prop?

That dual prop set up was really popular on Texas style full tunnel hull boats like Shoalwaters. The few i have seen have been on them, Here we call that type of boat potato chip boats as they look like a pringle
Probably no steering torque and must just jump out of the water quick
