Building a new dash
« on: June 06, 2008, 09:29:07 PM »
The dash I have is OEM but the gauges need to be replaced.  I picked up a Teleflex Sahara fuel gauge and like the look of it.  What I need is a base to put it on.  The OEM console has holes in places I don't like and I was thinking about using some diamond plate, but then I realized that the gauges won't seat properly.  What do y'all recommend?

Stay away from metal as it will not do well in the salt water environment. If you have a marine plastics place around your area, they will create a new dash panel per your specs. This can get a little expensive and you should figure on spending over 100 bucks. You can make your own out of thin Starboard material. Good Luck! cr
