I have put over 300hours on her, bloodied up her deck with bass, blues and shark. I am happy with her so far. Fuel consumption is tough and speed is not what i had hoped for. I am running 17 X 17 three blades 5 cup on the 350 volvo pentas. At 3k im doing 14 mph. Does anyone have any suggestions how i can tweek some more speed out of it?

I have 350 crusaders 300hp 18x18 props I get 22mph at 3300rpm at cruise.  I have a tower as well   If your props turn in you get more thrust my 290 comes right up on plane with ease. She has 1200hrs on those motors

I have the same boat, no tower with original crusaders 270hp.  I have 18x19 props and cruise 21mph @3250.  Seems like you need bigger wheels.

I have the same boat, but has been repowered with Crusader 300hp,350’s.  I am running 4 blade wheels, up on plane at 2600-3000, depending on fuel load and passenger load. I cruise at 3100-3200 rpm at 21-24 mph. I love my ride, does not have the tower, but does have a lot of extra weight with Downriggers, and all my rods and reels. I have updated my carbs to Eldelbrocks, and also updated to new electronic ignition.
