1989 striper 20’ rebuild
« on: February 10, 2024, 04:53:47 AM »
Hi all,
New member here. I’ve had this boat in my family for 25 years. It’s been an amazing boat to us. Repowered in 2012 with a 115 merc, new fuel tank as well. The deck and transom are solid however I had a roller from the trailer puncture a hole on the port side. Crawled underneath and the whole port side flexed. The starboard side is still rock solid. I’m under the impression my port stringer needs replacing and am in the preliminary stages of planning. Am hoping someone has pics of this hull without the deck so I know what to expect. Thanks everyone!

Welcome aboard :salut:
You're in the right sub-forum for your hull but what you may not know is that over the years the old Osprey 196 wore out it's appeal and marketing/sales came up with a brilliant idea - change the decals and you have a new model, hence the 200 was born (they did the same thing to the 170/175). So that being said, you now have two sub-forums to look through for info because the hull and stringer placement are identical. I'm sure you'll find the info you're looking for.  :danceSm:
