Hello Fellow Aquasport Fans-

I am not a new member but must say this is my first post.  Hopefully I don't break any rules and maybe even get my photo links correct so you don't need to hunt them down.

I have spoken with a few of you out there because I finally overhauled my boat.  Some of you also asked to see pictures.  Do not think you would call it a rebuild because the hull is in great shape.  What you see in the pictures is original.  Amazing what Awesome cleaner does and a power washer.  What is new is the following- power (replaced 110 with 115), fuel tank and lines, wiring, gauges, switches.  I am very happy with the final product.  I hope those of you with a similar ride enjoy the pictures.









Thanks to those who pointed me in the right direction and were willing to put in their 2 cents.

Next thing to figure out is how to put a fancy signature with picture at the end.  Still learning.

Hi BoatOrr,
You almost had it right ( I fixed then for you) - copy the lower link instead of the upper link in the gallery. The upper is thumbnails (very small).
To make a signature pic scale a pic down to 250W x 100 and put it in your signature.  You can even post multiple pics in your sig the same way.
You'll find that in the user control panel/profile/edit signature. Link the pic just like you would in a regular post.

Good to see someone else around here! I was in Covington yesterday! Grew up in Conyers, still have land off Irwin Bridge road.  That looks like Lanier, right?

Actually this was Lake Hartwell.  I frequent - Jackson, Hartwell and Russell the most.  Only hit Lanier in the off season.  I also spend time in St. Pete.  Maybe see you out sometime.

Wow, excellent work!  What products do you use for cleaning/waxing finishing on the interior?

I have to ask where your cave plate is when you are on a plane. Hard to tell in the pics but the motor looks a tad low to me.

Regarding cleaning products I have a trick.  The floor was pretty dirty and had 20 years of sunscreen and grim.  The trick is Bug and Tar remover.  Just spray it on the floor and let it sit a while.  Then go over it with a deck brush.  After that just power wash it out.  The other cleaner I use is "Awesome Cleaner".  You get it at Dollar General store.  Cleans most anything- deck furniture, boats, etc.  Don't let it sit to long on delicate surfaces (i.e. painted surfaces).

As for how the motor sits, it does look a little low.  It is as high up as you can mount it as far as I can tell.  It does have a little more weight then the original 1986, 110 Evinrude.  I think the original motor weighed 385lbs.  The cav plate is just at the base of the hull.  Therefore I think it is mounted correctly.  Any input is valued.

I sure do like the way it rides.  Just cruse at about 3,200- 3,500 RPM.  Don't know the speed.  It tops out at 5,600 RPM's.  That feels fast!  I had an idea to figure out speed but it did not work.  I have a wrist GPS that I use for running.  It tells speed but I do not think it likes being surrounded by water.  Not that important but always interesting to know.

What kind of non skid did you for decking? Do you recommend it?

As for your speed, you can always look at your cell phone and use an app like Waze maps. It will tell your your speed as you go. I would be interested in what this bad boy can get up to. I bet like 40 to 45.

Thanks Capt. Bob I have not been around lately. Appreciate you responding. The deck and hull is original. I did not need to do much other than compound and wax. As for speed I did use a phone app to track against my tach. The top speed was 42. That was with 2 people.
