« on: April 11, 2013, 10:18:31 AM »
:D Hello guys: :salut:

         I am planning a trip to Bimini on June 8th and wanted to know if some of you floridian boaters are interested in going. That is a week after Memorial Weekend and the island shouldnt be crowded after all. I am new at this Forum and will like to meet and know some of you guys and maybe share some experiences, recently i bought a 275 Explorer and im hooked to boating again after 3 years on shadows. Any suggestions,questions or remarks will be appreciated. i can be reached at : nautic_32@yahoo.com  Thanks for watching.

To Love2Fish;
                   We will be going out to bimini from Port Everglades in Ft. Lauderdale, i was out this weekend sea trialing the boat and getting familiar with her since just bought it a month ago. My first test trip to Bimini will be on May 11 but i will be going out with a mechanic/ boat captain to get familiar with crossing the stream and the island. Im from Tampabay area also and will be bringing the boat after the main trip maybe we can get together fishing or island hoping, thanks for replying i will also be posting photos and video.

I would love to make a trip like that but it's a little too short notice.  Same as the others...  Good luck and of course I would like to see your pictures and have a chance to debrief.  If you plan on making another trip later in the year I would be interested in tagging along with my vessel.  I guess I would have to do some research and see if my boat would be ok for that trip or would it be considered ill-advised.  Open to the groups thoughts/ opinions.

I think your boat size (245) should mot be a problem when you ready to go, i have seen on youtube crazy people going with jet skis all the way to exuma islands and thats crazy moves, as matter fact theres a video that a pack of skis go even with a 21' bombardier challenger. I think as long your boat engines are in tip top shape and can reach speeds in the 25mph range you should be ok. I just bought the boat but trip been in my mind since beginning of year and i will definitively let people know on my next trip.
