System Check Gauge alarm
« on: July 27, 2020, 07:39:36 PM »
I got my system check gauge working but my alarm disk is disconnected. Does anyone know where I hook the red and black wires into to get it to operate? Do I splice into the power and ground wire running to the gauges harness? Any help would be appreciated.

Grizz,
Do you have a schematic? Seems to me the buzzer wire on an OMC was tan. :ScrChin:

It's a 97 200hp correct?

Yes, 200HP 97 Johnson. The harness is hooked up, but I guess when I pulled the old guage the buzzer mechanism came loose before I could see where they attached. I attached the buzzer/beeper straight to the battery and it works. It is the black disc with only a small diameter red and black wire coming out. On the back of the new gauge there are to small holes that have an "I" and "S" are they supposed to push into there?

I found a schematic that says Tan w/Blue is the alarm wire. So I would figure that the black wire will tie into it and the red wire into the violet (power) wire. Now, how to do that, splice connector?
