washdown kit - can i use this?
« on: June 21, 2021, 06:51:40 PM »
so i see the benefit of having a washdown sprayer.  on my Aquasport 246, i have a couple of deck plugs near the engine that I open when cruising if to let the water out, but mostly keep sealed with a rubber stopper.

Does anyone know of an adapter that i put in the rubber stoppers place that would allow me to hook up a washdown sprayer pump?  Would doing this even make sense?  I hate to drill a hole in the old girl.

For wash down you have two choices - raw water (most wash downs are raw) or fresh (requires water tank).
Raw water requires a source which is usually a raw water pickup through hull, which you might already have, Look under hull near the aft and see if you have one of these

For either wash down you use a 3-5gpm pump to deliver the water. Here is where I started for raw water

Then I added a 40 gal fresh tank and added a pump for that (see the pump to the right above)
