Starboard List
« on: April 21, 2015, 07:27:45 PM »
While not a rebuild was hoping to get some input on my starboard list.  I have a feeling its mainly due to the trolling motor and mount.  Any suggestions to counter this?  Adding weight to the port side maybe?  When I run the kicker motor the list is even more to starboard.  Anything and everything of gear that has weight is stored on the port side, still no luck.  I also find water collects where the stuffing tube ends and the wires come out.  Not sure how it gets there either?

Here is the starboard side, notice the deck drain thru hull, how low its in the water

This is how far out of the water the port deck drain is

It doesn't mater the position of the motors, the list in there while trolling at low speeds with both motors down and centered.

On my 205, my batteries are in the starboard corner, where your kicker is located.  If your batteries are there as well, plus the weight of the kicker, it would lead to a list to starboard.  So, where are your batteries, and if they are on the starboard side, could they be moved to port?

It appears to be the combination of the two. While it's a PITA to remove the kicker, it would confirm everyone's thoughts.

Where is your remote oil tank located?  Port side correct? Would there be room on the port side then?

Good luck.

X2 with Craig - move the batts to the other side and you might be OK.

I was able to move the tank and batteries to port about 6".  Seemed to help a little and the list is now to a point where I dont loose sleep over it anymore.  Thanks, and your right, it was a PITA!
