The CCP bilge access is "very tough" with the original splashwell in place.  I assume you have a pie plate to access it?  When I had my 200 CCP, I considered removing the pie plate and installing a small hatch to give me better access.  The pie plate on my 200 CCP, was located at the base of the splashwell just inside the cockpit and it was mounted vertical. There should be room there to add a bigger pie plate or install a hatch.

This should be your layout?  This was my 200 CCP.  The verticle pie plate at the splashwell is where my access was.  I would try and find a small rectangular hatch to replace that pie plate.

What I did is to install an access port (8") in the aft wall of the tank compartment.  From there you can easily reach and see the stock pump location.  I also have a 1984 200ccp.

See:

You can leave it at that, or what I did is install another inspection plate (clear) in the floor piece above the tank, at the aft end.  I can see if there's water in the tank compartment and also open that bilge access and get to the pump if needed.
