Live well drainage for 185 Osprey

(1/1)

KB4ET:
Question as to how the live well drains - On a 185 Osprey, does the live well drainage go straight to a thru-hull fitting to exit, or does it "Y" into another drainage system? My live well works fine while on the water, but will not drain while on the trailer! I am wondering if a thru-hull fitting might be blocked while on the trailer. Thank you,

You may be our only '05 185 Osprey owner. But we have a lot of 205 owners and I bet that that the rigging is similar.
Might want to post up some pics of the aft inside of the boat and where the drains start. You may have to cut an access panel into the liner to see what is there.

Thank you for the reply Rick.
I can see the back of the live well  by looking through the Center Console opening. The "IN' from the live well pump is a small "heater hose" type, while the "DRAIN" hose is larger, like a "radiator hose" and is similar to the 2 cockpit, aft "self- bailing" hoses.
I wouldn't think that a hose of this size would not go to a thru-hull fitting, rather "Y" into one of the self-bailing hoses, or has it's on exit fitting that I am unaware of, and is stopped up. If so, why would it drain under way and not on the trailer?
Thanks again,

Dave
