Well I've been pretty busy lately with the paintball season starting back up but I'm managing some time in between. I got my stringers all marked out so I could transfer to the 2in divinycell I picked up. Went ahead and cut them out then lammed each side with 2 layers of 1708. Figured that would be enough since there will be 3 tabs on each side as well as 2 layers calling them.

Had a hell of a time trying to get them to sit up straight and become level and I just couldn't get it. With the help of dirtwheels advice I cut some jigs in the middle and then went and bought some 36in clamps and there she went nice and easy.

So after staring at the boat for a couple of hrs I went ahead and put a few pieces of cut divinycell underneath them to protect from hard spots and then tack epoxied them in! Should get them filled in this evening and then I will tab em next week.

Also received my order of epoxy from Raka, couldn't believe how much cheaper it is. Paid the same price for 12 gal of raka as I did for 5 of west system.

Man I miss my paintball days! Stringers look good! I hope you got at least half slow hardener. With medium you have to work fairly quickly.

Haha yea it can be fun, that's what I've been doing for a living since 2008

Yea I'm actually only using slow hardener unless want to make some quick setting thickened resin.

Well it's been awhile since the last post but I've have been making some progress even though there isn't much to see. A few steps I didn't get pictures of but I was a bit busy.

Got the stringers bedded in some thickened epoxy first of all

Once the stringers were bedded I went ahead and started messing around with the bulkheads but I switched from the divinycell to coosa for them now so that's about all that's different. These were rough cuts so don't judge me on them lol.

As you can see from the previous pic I ended up cutting out the transom, the outside skin was pretty shot so I figured I might as well. Dam setup for the new skin

4 layers of 1708 dry fit and clamped 12-10-8-6 overlaps

And of course the layup which actually bothered me when I went out the next day to find a ridge on the bottom where it seems the layers all slid down and bunched up I guess? I left it there and just built up inside of it with 3 more layers of 1708.

Coosa clamped in with 2 4x4

Clamps pulled off and filled the holes

Also I added a layer of 1708 to each of the hull sides and cored the top rim of the hull with 3/4 divinycell. Next step will be to finishing closing in the transom, lay some extra glass on the floors for a clean service for the bulkheads to be glued and then I'm going to extend stringers with knees.

Got the outer bulkheads or ribs tacked in today along with the stringer extensions/knees. Also mounted some coosa up front for the bow eye. Each bulkhead has a layer of 1708 and the knees have a a layer of 1808 and 1708 on each side.

Once I got everything in I started to dry fit the tank which I am very happy with. Think I'm going to use some 2in divinycell to make some supports. Still not sure how I'm going to tie it down.
