Things moved

(1/1)

Aquasport Commodore:
Why is it when something is put up for discussion and located on the web, and there is any link to a craigslist add, it is automatically moved to the Classifieds, even if not for sale by the members? This does not flow well for discussion as most people don't look in the other sections and have a dialogue about it. Is is set up by the software to move once it sees a .,.,,,,Craigslist.com link? The example I will use is the 33 foot flatback...IT was a joke and put there to have an ongoing discussion nothing more. Heck it is something that we wouldnt put for sale here anyways. That was why I was hesitant in even putting the link up as I figured it would be moved.  Why cant it be case by case if it should be moved or not?

Capt. Bob:
It is case by case (concerning location of threads) and that is made by the Admin or the Mod. I moved your thread. No software required.

So there's no misunderstanding, I just don't move things cause I can but rather try and follow some basic logic and precedence that has been set. While I would love the Classified forum to be strictly about sales that is not always the case and as such, discussion about boats that are not something that a member would post for sale but rather oddities, rare models/types/designs and at times just plain ridiculous ads that they find on the net is a common occurrence. Yours neatly fits into one of those categories, not only by my logic but your own description in the post above.

Lastly, someone may just end up buying that hull. Ya never know.

Chit, I'll buy it. I'll buy anything, sight unseen

I'll be listing a bridge, in a swamp over a superfund site I think you will really like.

gran398:
You got it. Everyone needs a bridge over troubled water
