86 22-2 ccp coffin box seating ideas

Recently purchased a 22-2 ccp. It didnt come with any cushions for the coffin box. Has anyone done any upgrades as far as seating? It has only 2 seats at the helm and i would like to have more seating available for the family and guests. Looking for ideas. Thanks

Should be able to get an upholstery shop to make up something like was available on the original

Same setup in my 84. The wife and friends loved it.
If you intend to keep the box, That's the way to go.

Like others, I put cushions on the coffin top and front of the console as a backrest.  The Admiral loves it - like a chaise lounge!  You can also seat 4-5 people on it if you want to haul a party around.  Use 3 or 4 inch foam and consider the bottom done in 3 pieces to match the hatches.  Attach with snaps so you can take the cushions off when you want.
