For example, this is one I just went to in paint/topside forum.
search.php?keywords=spray+gelcoat&terms=all&author=&sc=1&sf=all&sk=t&sd=d&sr=posts&st=0&ch=300&t=0&submit=Search

OK, unless I did something wrong, this link is one I posted, correct????

If so,  then this link takes you to the old search feature in the prior Forum. This original link was meant not to lead to a specific thread but rather to the 75 different threads that existed concerning gelcoat and spraying.
It was to illustrate the idea of using the search function to someone who couldn't or didn't bother to find the topic.

Are we looking/typing about the same thing or am I missing what you're asking?

Your linked worked for me as well, seems to be the ones that start with search.

No worries.

Back to the important stuff, looking to find a reasonable easy to use paint to re-paint my console.  I have filled holes, sanded, sanded some more and sanded.  I will prime and paint, I am going to try and spray it.

I am stopping today to see about PPG paints a local fiberglass guy here uses often.

Any suggestions?

Mike

Transom skin is glassed in place, filling in edges at this point.  Splash guard is ready for glass and to be fitted.

I ended up ordering a tank from Alloy, should be here in a week or so.  Console is in the shop for painting.

Next up a little hull and floor work.

I am prepping to re-install engine and controls, any ideas on good references for wiring, etc...

Great work Mike!

It's looking really good! You are overtaking me now. I'm back in my tent and probably 1.5 months until I can start the final push.
Will you gelocat or paint the transom?

I have a ways to go plus you have done much more like stringers and floors.

My stringers and floor (except for one area) are good.  I'm holding off on those for another winter.

I will gel coat as next winter I will save for a complete paint job.

What is the consensus on floor paint (non-skid)?  I have been researching and undecided, kiwigrip or a truck bed liner type.  I would think that would be very rough.

I'm also researching a good paint for the floor. I have found Double coat from Holland.

A friend of mine painted his whole 30 foot sailboat with this stuff. Looks great.

Transom is complete.  Console is painted (will post pic soon).  Now just need some warmer temps so I can clean up and start cleaning gas tank well.  New tank should be here this week.  Engine will get mounted as well.

I'll get some.  I had to move the boat out of the garage yesterday.  So its back at my local marina, outside in the 10 degree weather.....

Looking good Mike!

We have 30 degree weather here in Sweden. Feels very cold due to wind chill.
I never got around to sanding  yesterday. It was just to cold and miserable...
It is supposed to warm up towards the end of the week. I hope to do some more wet sanding then.

Nice work!
