California Aquasport Rendezvous
« on: June 03, 2012, 12:52:13 AM »

A couple of us got together over the weekend...

got pretty wild towards the end, until the clerk showed up...

...then everyone just kind of wandered back to their shelves.

Boys,

on one hand, its too bad some of the other AS members don't appreciate old George...

Then again, too much demand can create scarcity of supply....which leads to chest bumpin' and thumb wrastlin'.

Luckily, I am on the positive slope of the supply curve  :compress:

And Scott - she was preeeeeeeety, and oh yea, Bondo...she did come home with me.

I picked up her cousin round 'bout two months ago - Georgette - I'm gonna go say hello right now.

Glad you fellers liked the photo

Well some of us drank it long ago. I had my first of many in the winter of 1969, Chanute Air Force Base, Rantoul Illinois.
I was still 18 then and it was known as a "tickle of Dickel", probably still is.
In my golden years, I prefer something different.
Still not at all unfamiliar with the ol' boy, and went back to it when it became available again in 2003-4.

C.B.,

Very well indeed !!  Capital !!

Holy Schniekies !!  So you were a Wing Wiper.  Bless your soul and thank you for your service to our great country.

I reckon out there it could get pretty cold with without a little "Gorge on the George".  I just made that up, and I doubt if I'll ever mention that again.

But Scott turned me on to this stuff and just like he might say, it is "Dee Lux".

I would describe it as not just fancy, but "Double Ought Fancy" !   :compress:

Glad to see you like it too, C.B.  :salut:

It's the Golden Years for sure, and given that, our memories tend to fade, trust me.

Perhaps you should give Old George #12 a second chance...a second sniff, a second tickle if you will.

Feel certain 'ol George will be a fave in your cabinet

Yuk.  I spent a year there.  Twice. 1970 & 1974

Back when I fished bass tournaments with the brother in law ol' George always went with us but we never let him out of the trunk until we were on the way home.  Couple of times I don't know how we made it home.  I guess George was driving because I was in no shape to drive.

Witcha.

Ol' George is a friend. But he can be a backstabber too.

For sure...he sucks at driving.
