depth sounder capatability with new fish finders
« on: March 11, 2012, 09:00:02 AM »
Hi,
I just purchased a Grady White 20 Overnighter and it has a factory Datamarine Capree depth sounder on it.  I want to get a fish finder, does anyone happen to know any compatible finders out there that my transducer will be compatible with?  Stated frequency of 307.2 khz.  I dont want to have to run another cable and find that quite challenging back to the transom.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.    Brodie129

most brands of electronics use different connectors, and fish finders use a wider angle transducer to give a better pic of the bottom.I don't think you will find one that is compatable.Use a fish tape to run a pull rope to run your new transducer cable, good luck and welcome! :salut:
