1997 245 Osprey Dash Panel
« on: August 25, 2010, 12:11:21 PM »
Ok, since I am getting quite a few votes to put the TM emblem on, and I bought an original brand new switch/CB panel which has the black/gold color scheme to it, I am assuming it came from AS stock, Pete, maybe a picture of your switch panel to see if I really did get the TM one?? So, my original black platic or starboard dash panel needs to be replaced, too many open holes from gauges that were removed, plus I need to install my new Yammi Fuel management gauge, so is the dash panel in the TM color schemed to match?? It's almost like on the switch panel they put some type of shiny shrinkable film that covered the original base material.  What would be a good source for some sheet material to make a new dash panel from?? Thanks

Marc,
What I would consider for a gauge panel is 1/4" black starboard.  But, if you can get a good picture of the material the switch/breaker panel is made of, there's a guy on Classic Mako that may be able to match it up for you.  Let me go over there and get his site...momentito, por favor...

Alright, Scott Cambra at http://vectorled.com/#, he does excellent work, give him a try...

Pete,
That panel looks in excellent shape!  Too often I see the screw holes cracked out...

Yes, that is the panel I bought down at the surplus place, how is your dash (gauge panel) is the color scheme the same, or is it just plain black??
Thanks

Thanks Pete, same color scheme, of course your dash panel and mine are way different, I didn't realize that until I saw it.  I may go with a piece of lexan, and paint the back side black, just another project....

Marc,
You have the older gauge panel, with a glovebox to the starboard side.  Pete has the newer console, with the panel spanning the top flat.
