Here are the published specs for the 290:

Length overall, including pulpit:  31' 0"
Beam:  11' 0"
Draft (w props): 30"
Fuel capacity:  XF=254 gals, TM: 300 gals
Water capacity: 40 gals
Clearance height: 8' 0"
Dry weight:  9500 lbs.
Deadrise:  15 degrees
Cabin headroom: 6' 2"
Sleeping capacity:  5

Note there is not a hull capacity or maximum number of personnel listed.  Boats over 20 feet are not required to have a capacity plate, and generally boats 26 feet do not have capacities listed or a plate.  The USCG goes by displacement tonnage on bigger boats - that is computed based on length, beam, and freeboard.

CJ is correct.  26' and larger, boats get "Yacht Certification"...no limit to HP or persons aboard...

I've slept 7 on mine (requires a bottle of liquor, a nice night, and a marina that doesn't mind loud music).

I've anchored and had about as many people and coolers as you could fit and she barely sunk in the water.

Full tanks of fuel seem to weigh her down more than any group of people I've had onboard...but it's okay because I offset the weight when they empty my wallet at the completion of filling up...so its a temporary condition.

Currently on nothing but cell phone/air card.  Which severely limits internet time.

The 290XF I am in the process of buying has 300 gallons of fuel in twin 150 gallon tanks, it is a 1988, not sure if they went to 300 on the TM and the XF after the 86 model. Sea Trial is scheduled for last weekend in March, can't wait.
