Where to start?
« on: December 05, 2007, 04:55:24 PM »
I just recently bought a 1969 flatback in decent condition.  I don't want to loose use of the boat for long periods of time,  but I definately want to start the rebuild.  Any help on where to start would be appreciated.

mostly cosmetic problems.  Probably need to re-do the transom at some point.  Lots of cracks in the cap, and some spider cracks in the floor.

Do it right! A 1969 most likely has some significant structure damage underneath. If the Transom seems to need replacing, now is the time to take care of business. Check out the stringers. They are most likely detached as well.
