$1200 goes a good way toward a trailer.  I got my trailer from Capps - they are near you and have some good deals:

22-2 here from Marco

EDIT: 19 December 2010 Part 2:

Fellas, it should be a joyous night. But its not. The boat was misrepresented. Severe bow damage, poorly repaired. Forward hull gunnel top, looks like was caught up under a dock,(both sides) heavy damage, poor repair. Floors very soft. Nice twin Merc 75's, but 25 inch motors on a 20 inch transom, top mounts 5 inches above the transom, sticking up in thin air.

Thats just for starters. White spray paint all over, covering Bondo. I'm not doing so good tonight. BIG blisters all along the exterior bottom hull, every foot....looks like someone put screws in it way back when, and covered it up, why?

None of this was shown in the photos. No one to blame but myself, should've flown down there.

The emotion of the purchase took precedence over good judgement. And the old fella seemed so nice, so honest. "Tell me what's wrong with the boat?" Nothing, he said. But won't return my calls tonight.

My own fault, need to learn to not trust people, even if their 80 years old. I wasn't brought up that way.

I'm not doing so good.

This is SAD
I thought pics were sent - were they of another boat? or from a couple hundred feet away?  I don't remember seeing any.

Wow, this really sucks. I remember seeing the pictures and thinking what a sweet boat. Keep looking, I'm sure one will come along soon that's to your liking.

Yes, had good pics. They looked great. All of the major damage was hidden in the pics by the front spray dodger. The bow damage wasn't shown.

The sale was predicated upon the right of refusal upon receipt. He finally answered the phone this morning. He said he absolutely did not agree to that. He said the boat was appraised for 11k, and had much higher offers than mine. I said fine, here's a chance for you to make more money. He said he didn't want the boat back....

I think I've pretty much figured out what happened to it. The CAT 5 Hurricane Charley a few years back hit Port Richey, Fl. ...Marco Island is pretty close to there. This boat didn't have a trailer, so he left it on the lift...It got hung up under a dock somewhere, crushed the front end. The repair looks like it was done by a ten year old.

I am absolutely sick to my stomach. The floor is shot. It will take 5K min. to get her right. So I'd have 15K in a boat that may bring 10.

Or, could sell the motors now for 3500 each, and take the hull to the dump.

Don't even want it in the yard. I'm just numb right now.

Thanks to you guys.
