When i picked up my 67 flatback it had twin 120 loopers on it and that thing flew when it got up to speed it would start to hop or skip it was a wild ride.

I've heard of twin 70's and twin 90's on the 222's.  The 120's must of been insane and twin 150's sounds down right dangerous. That thing must be ready to go into orbit.

I think the 222's flatbacks only need a 150 hp on them. The one's you see around have 150's or 200's on them. I know if you get them going fast and trimmed up you will do a 180 in a heart beat. I'm hoping to get down to the boat and do some work on it this week fishing charters are slow this week so i hope i'll have some good photos to share with you guy's.

Whatcha planin' to put on yours? I'm thinkin a 200 e-tec or maybe 4S on a porta-bracket. Know a guy who has a 225 4S Honda on a 22 foot Privateer.  He raves about that thing.

I have a new 05 Honda 150 E-Spec we just put one on my friends flatback and it runs around 44 at 5800 plenty fast for me. I'm going down now to run my other friends with a 200 opti on it he says it about a mid 40's on the gps both boats have towers in them one has a paralift and the other has a pota bracket on it. I put a paralift on mine so i don't have that extra weight back there.

I have a 19.6 1979 200 ccp with a yam 150 on it I had to take out the fish box to reglass it. I had it out this weekend and I hit 51mph on gps my boat is plan and it was less than 1/4 full of gas. I was looking at one time at putting twin 150's to go offshore but the added weight and cost of the motor is not worth it. With my boat the weigh that it is now I can fish the bays or go offshore. How many boats can do that in 4= seas??? With no T-top I can cast EZ also

The paralift is just like a porta bracket but the paralift has a 10inch offset and a 12 inch vertical lift. I'll post some photos if i can figure it out i havent found the upload in the photo gallery like last time.

I was going to tell you the same thing.  

What is the deal with that bracket?  Is that what you are using?  I put in the order for my porta bracket yesterday.  Now I'm just waiting.

It was made by Merc racing for the race boats and those super fast bass boats. It's just smaller then a porta bracket a 10 inch offset instead of a 14inch offset so it should not make the back of the boat sit deeper. I'll put up a few photos when its fixed.
