ethanol fuel in 1995 johnson 130
« on: September 04, 2020, 02:38:27 PM »
hello everyone, I have a 1995 auquasport 200 that came with 1995 johnson 130, and I replaced all of the fuel lines and fuel pump recently, i also have a plastic built in gas tank that is about 45 gallons, I was wondering if I ought to use ethanol free gas from wawa or just use regular gas? my brother had a e-tec motor that a fuel injector failed because of a piece of rubber clogged it, but mine is a carburated motor so I dont feel like the degradation of the fuel line should hurt.  thanks in advance,   long john

Don't use ethanol fuel!  It's not just the engine - it will gel in the fuel tank also.  Just... Don't do it!

Wawa sells non-ethanol gas (at least here in FL). Ethanol is a solvent and will start eating everything up.  Plus it attracts water.
