Aquasport 248???????????
« on: May 19, 2008, 12:02:09 AM »
Well, here I am, after many many years of admiring the old classic center consoles. I have recently made the aquisiton of a 1976 Center Console Inboard........I have begun the takedown of this fine girl. I plan to replace the floor, get her into fishing and family mode. As soon as I figure out how to post pics I will..... hopefully, I can get pics up soon, or tonight.....yea right!!.   If I can't, suffice to say that I have found and bought, a 1976 248 CC inboard that has fresh paint on the topsides and hull sides. A fresh re build on the motor. I will replace the floor, re-rig the full tower and fish this girl the way she was intended.

Hullside pic and start of takedown...

Stern to bow...start of takedown,,,,,

This is a pricelist from 1976 and they offered a 240 as a Center Console and inboard model.  Could this be the size of your boat?  Pretty pricey back then for the inboard model

I have a few newer pics....but the progress is a bit slow right now. The floor is out, I am just finishing up the re-wire and re-plumb. I am hoping to have new floor in this week. The weather in Central Florida is killing me. Either too hot to work or raininmg. Pluss between detailing boats, working at the FD and teaching, my time is bit limited. I promise to post up new pics asap, when there is something to see. Hopefully by the end of the week....Kev
