As of midnight Saturday 9/3/2005. Do Not send any more money to this drive.

I have check's still comming in the mail and Classic Aquasport has some money for me too. That I know, is still comming.

We reached the goal that this was done for. The objective was to get good's to the people in need "FAST" and we have achived this goal. With the members here and local Church's in Florida. We were on the scene "Before" Red Cross and the Salvation Army had gotten to the people.

The Red Cross and Salvation Army is in full swing now.
Make any other donation's to them or Wiley may have something in the work's.

This drive really put a load on me, but as promised we did it.
It was a nightmare to pay for fuel, but the biggest problem is finding fuel. They are sucking Pensacola dry.

The money that everyone sent me did not buy fuel. It only bought the actually item's that went into the hand's of people in need. :)

Due to this fuel proplem. I can not do this anymore.

There is still more to buy and I still have some money. I have made arangment's with Olive Baptist Church [one of the biggest church's in P'cola] to deliver the rest of the good's. They have made 3 tractor trailer run's already. They have adopted  Wiggin's, Miss. & Slidell,La. as the area's that they take care of.
Again The church is springing for the fuel and the truck's to get it there.

I will contune to buy more good's with "Your Donation's" so that "Your Money" is well spent.
I will give a full accounting of what your money was spent on and pix's of the good's too. :)

A few note's about some of the stuff I bought. Most people don't think about a few of these thing's. Wasp spray is one of them.
When ever a huricane comes thru and destroy's all the trees and building's the wasp's and hornet's come alive. [flying around Everwhere] I know that I danced around a bunch several day's after Ivan and one  did get me.
Bee sting's can be a real pain. There is jell included to put on people that were stung.

Thank You VERY Much for all your help. You've done an OURSTANDING Job.

It doesn't look like that much in the back of my truck, but here's the list of what's there. There are other pix's and list on the thread that Eddie aka Ringleader started to kick this off.

Way to go Warthog! ClassicAquasport members raised around $700. I'd like to get this to you if you and the ClassicMako folks still need it. Otherwise, I guess we'll donate it to the Red Cross. Please let me know.

Thanks!

Argo  Thank You for the offer. I'm not accepting anymore money at this time.

I'm sure there are other avenue's to get good's to the people.

This has been a big undertaking for me with a lot of responsibility that went with it.

We've closed the ClassicAquasport.com donation fund and provided the cash to Warthog and ClassicMako.com. The idea was to get relief items to folks in need, before the official relief agencies could get organized. Now that the Red Cross and other major agencies have set up shop, we think it is best to let the professionals take it from here.

Jason Thronhill was affected by Katrina. He is a member of Classic Mako and he, his wife and 3 children lost EVERYTHING!

They were renting a house. Everytime that Jason tried to buy renter's insurance there was another storm brewing and he couldn't buy any.

He has now bought a house. He said buying a house is the biggest investment that anyone can make, as you all know. He bought this big investment very quickly and he said it made his head spin to spend that much money that quick.

I got to meet Jason personally in Diamondhead, Ms. today. I gave him the balance that was taken in with all of your help. [$200]

A lot of the member's of Classic Mako have bought Wal mart and Target gift card's and sent them to he and his family.

He's a hard working, very nice young man. He has a 21 Mako that he was restoring. Closed the transom and added a bracket. The boat was not finished. [No motor & no wiring]

Today I made the run [145mi] to meet up with Jason and 3 other guy's from Classic Mako to recover the boat. It was back in the wood's aprox. 100yds. If you stood on the street adjacent to where he lived and looked up at the tree's in the wood's, you can see all the bark off the tree's aprox 30ft in the air. This is how high the water got and the tree's had the crap beat out of them from all the debris.

The recovery of the boat looked like a BIG task. As it turned out we got it out of the wood's in 4.5hrs. We were all beat & dirty, but it sure was nice to see it on the trailer on the street.

Ringleader took a lot of pix's today and they will show up on that link on Monday.
