Horseshoe Beach scalloping / Suwannee River

it was a pretty fun weekend, took the boat 20 miles from our place down the Suwanee River on Friday. scalloping saturday, launched from Horseshoe Beach, ran about 8 miles north(cant miss the crowd of boats!)... friends wedding saturday night(helluva party). and went scalloping again monday... anyways, heres the pics:

The water must clear up a lot just going north of Suwannee a few miles to Horseshoe. Your pics surprised me, as the water doesn't look tanic at all.

Nice pics, makes me want to try again. Last time was at Stienhattchee in 2006, and we didn't do so good. First time, but water looked just like in your pics and we still had a lot of fun looking for them.

yeah, we got a mile maybe two from horseshoe and the water was clear. talk about tanic, you couldnt see a inch under water on the river. it was nasty brown...

Aaron,

I've never tried grilling the scallops for fear of them getting tough on the outside. Do you marinate and then grill them. I should try grilling them.
