Trailer Newbie Tire question
« on: May 17, 2014, 06:47:28 AM »
I bought 17ft 85 Osprey and used to borrow a friends trailer when needed(only to launch and take out at seasons end)  I was given a trailer that needed TLC  put new hubs and bearings on the existing tiers and realized that one tire is not holding air die to a bent up rim.   My question is the tire size of these are 215/75-14,  am I limited to that tire size or can I go with lets say 205/75-14.   Thanks much

No, you're not limited.  You can step down in cross section, but do both tires.  Don't just replace the 1 tire.

Thank you, but what do you mean by cross section...something with the bolt pattern?

The first number is the cross section, I think it is in mm.. Google will set you straight.  Good luck!
