1978 Proline 20 Rebuild

So I purchased a 1978 20 Proline this weekend.  Plan on gutting and restoring.  My plan is transom first the work on stringers from one side to the other.  I want to keep the integrity intact as much as possible to avoid twisting the hull.  Any words of wisdom, advice?  I am really enjoying this forum and hope to restore a great boat to eventually pass to my son.

Hi capt I recently acquired the same boat and would like to do a complete restoration like you. I’m going to tackle the transom first do you have any helpful advice to keep the boat from beer canning when I start to tackle the stringers

Make sure the hull is supported evenly on the trailer, and add some lighter duty wood bunks that can flex/match the shape of the hull.
If the cap and transom are still in place it's probably not going to try and twist much.
