lower unit - non-conductive paint?
« on: May 20, 2024, 08:26:59 AM »
I have a newer Suzuki...does anyone know if the paints used on the lower unit would make the aluminum "non-conductive"?
My lower unit is about 1-2" submerged in the water while resting on the tilt-bracket....my concern is electrolysis (the annode is not submerged).

Does the motor really need to rest on the tilt bracket or does it do harm to the hydraulic tilt system if it does not rest on the bracket?

I think the bracket is for trailering. They don't want the hydraulic taking the beating of a bad road.
