Kicker motor / mount
« on: August 25, 2012, 11:30:13 PM »
1999 215 DC - Ok, I have decided on a Yamaha extra long shaft high thrust 9.9 hp. I was going to go with a 20 inch shaft but it was too short and simply did not work. Can anyone tell me what mounting bracket I should use? Obviously I have to get the prop at the proper depth but also have to get as much clearance for the motor handle to clear the transom. Assistance is appreciated.....maybe even a few pics!

Thanks  - Phil :salut:

The Garelik one Scott uses is very common, works great.  Rated to 25 HP, but that's more to do with weight than HP...
